NDSU Music Composition Studio to Present Spring Composers Recital
Fargo, N.D. — The Challey School of Music at North Dakota State University invites the public to attend its semesterly Composers Recital on Thursday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Beckwith Recital Hall.
The program features new works by student composers Jonathon Erickson, Jacob Rolle, Percy Johnson, Jon Meier, Hannah Bedow, and Owen Cary, representing a wide range of musical styles and approaches. These original pieces highlight the creativity and craft fostered within NDSU’s music composition studio.
Also featured are works by Kyle Vanderburg, Composer in Residence at NDSU, and Martin Van Klompenberg, composer and instructor of bassoon. Their contributions offer a professional perspective alongside student work, demonstrating the studio’s culture of mentorship and innovation.
